KUALA LUMPUR: Inspector-General of Police Ismail Omar was today hospitalised after feeling faint due to exhausation during the monthly assembly at the Bukit Aman police headquarters.
Federal police management director Robiah Abdul Ghani said contrary to earlier reports, the police chief did not collapse during the morning assembly.

Kami membantah dan menolak sekeras-kerasnya laporan muka hadapan Berita Harian semalam bertarikh 21hb April 2011.
Kami kesal kerana Berita Harian dengan sengaja mensensasikan isu video seks itu walaupun penyiasatan polis masih diteruskan. Kami turut kesal apabila Berita Harian diperalat pihak tertentu demi merekayasa "perbicaraan melalui media" (trial-by-media), yang cukup jelas bernada politik dalam percubaan terus-menerus untuk mengaib dan menganiaya Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Harus diingat bahawa syarikat Korea Selatan tersebut telah dipilih dan diberi maklumat khusus oleh Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM), yang mana ketua-ketua mereka masih menuruti kehendak barisan ahli politik yang mempunyai dendam kesumat terhadap Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim dan berusaha menamatkan perjuangan reformasi politik beliau.
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim telah menafi sekeras-kerasnya penglibatan beliau dalam video ini. Kami juga ingin menyatakan dengan tegas bahawa individu di dalam video itu bukan Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Justeru kredibiliti PDRM sekali lagi terjejas dan dipersoalkan selepas pendedahan oleh bekas ketua Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah KL, Datuk Mat Zain Ibrahim, dalam beberapa surat terbuka beliau:
1) mengenai empat laporan polis yang dibuat Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim antara 9 Julai 1999 dan 20 Ogos 1999 mengenai salah guna kuasa dan menghalang proses undang-undang oleh sebilangan individu tersohor, termasuk Tun Dr Mahathir dan Dato Abdul Gani Patail. Mengapakah tiada tindakan lanjut dari pihak polis mengenai laporan-laporan polis ini?
2) mengenai persamaan yang cukup rapat antara "video seks" ini dengan "video seks" yang disebarkan beberapa hari sebelum PRU tahun 1999.
Kami mengajak Rakyat Malaysia bersama-sama menolak "politik lucah", dan marilah bersatu menggesa pemulihan semula institusi-institusi terpenting negara, terutamanya PDRM, SPRM, SPR, dan badan kehakiman.

We strongly protest and are outraged by the front page headline of Berita Harian yesterday, which revealed the police investigations on the sex video that continuously attempts to implicate Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. In this latest development, a supposedly renowned South Korean broadcasting agency has purportedly matched the identity of the male in the sex video to that of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
We regret that the Berita Harian report has sensationalized this issue, even though police investigations are still on-going. We also regret that Berita Harian has allowed itself to be used in this trial-by-media, which smacks clearly of a political orchestration to continuously vilify and persecute Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in the public domain. It should also be noted that the South Korean firm was engaged by and fed with information by the Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM), whose leadership and their political masters have had a longstanding political agenda to smear the reputation of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and end his political struggle for reform.
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has categorically denied his involvement in this sex video. We also categorically state that it is not Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in said video.
The credibility of the PDRM has once again been shattered and compromised following the revelations made by the former KL CID chief Datuk Mat Zain Ibrahim in a several open letters made public:
1) regarding the four police reports made by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim between 9 July 1999 and 20 Ogos 1999 on the abuse of power and the obstruction of legal procedures by a retinue of major public figures including Tun Dr Mahathir and Dato Abdul Gani Patail. Why has there been no further action on these police reports?
2) regarding key similarities between the current alleged "sex video" and a "sex video" that was circulated prior to the 1999 General Election.
We call upon the Rakyat to reject "gutter politics", and to remain united in calling for the return of independence and integrity to our key public institutions in Malaysia, especially PDRM, MACC, EC, and the judiciary.

Kalau buat kerja polis cara profesional tak akan pening tapi kalau nak jadi cawangan UMNO bukan sekadar pening hilang nyawa pun boleh.
