Berlusconi and a pole dancer nicknamed 'Ruby the Heart Stealer'
ROME (AFP) - A court in Milan is set to deliver its verdict on Saturday in a long-running bribery trial against former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi where prosecutors are seeking a five-year prison sentence.
The larger-than-life billionaire's lawyers are to present their final arguments in a trial that began in 2007, after which the court will retire to consider the verdict expected in the late afternoon or evening.
Mr Berlusconi stands accused of having given his former tax lawyer David Mills US$600,000 (S$755,000) to provide false testimony in court in the 1990s.He denies the charge and accuses prosecutors of pursuing a vendetta against him.
